According to the calendar (and my friends who live in warmer climates), spring is officially here. Which, of course, means one very important thing: wedding season is right around the corner! Whether you're newly-engaged or well on your way to planning the perfect wedding day for you I'm guessing you're keeping at least one eye on wedding trends lately - and if you're not, well, that's what we're here for.
It's been increasingly apparent (with the advent of beautiful independent designers like Twigs & Honey and affordable and lovely options like Ruche) that head and hair adornments are most definitely in. And, possibly even more so lately, veils. We had our first inklings talking to bridal gown designers like Claire Pettibone, and our suspicions were confirmed when we sat down with the bridal fashion savvy owners of a local salon, but now I think it's safe to make an official statement. Veils, as classic and traditional as they may feel, are very definitely a resurfacing trend among brides. I'm admittedly jumping for joy, but that's no secret. But here's the kicker. It's not just that veils are again making their way down aisles everywhere, it's that the trend is leaning towards something extra-fun. Because, dear brides-to-be, these veils are nothing if not dramatic.
Short or long, lace-edged or gold-tinted birdcage, veils are the oldest accessory in the book and the latest way to add an extra bit of attitude to your wedding day ensemble. Plus, these details make for stunning (stunning) photos. Let's take a look - these photos are about to make the dramatic wedding veil trend look even more wonderful. If that's even possible.
Which style of dramatic wedding veil best fits your own look?
